Assembling my BBQ Pit

got this DIY BBQ pit free gift when I purchased the Petronas Syntium engine oil last yet... but it was kept in the store room until last night...

will be holding a BBQ this weekend, so took out the box, and spent half an hour assembling it... it's like playing LEGO though... heh...

walah... my BBQ pit... not too bad considering that it's free...

not too bad for an O2 Atom...

took this photo just outside the building that I'm working in with my phone just to test it out... not too bad of a quality I should say...

car in workshop....

just sent my car to the workshop for repair this morning... and will be without it for a few days... :(

took out a few things... including my Pioneer CD player

last year around this time, I sent my car for repair and a new paint job during my parent's vacation to Shanghai. This year, same thing... my parents are now enjoying themselves on Star Cruise (Virgo), and my car is in the workshop again... what coincident huh...

so from today onwards till my car is fixed (probably this Friday or Saturday), I'll be driving my dad's trusty Nissan 130Y...

bought another O2 pouch...

this O2 pouch, which I bought like a month ago... got a tear at the side, which exposes the metal inside... so fearing that it would scratch my O2 Atom... I bought another one during lunch time...

this one cost more, but it has this exclusive look, and holds the phone better... heh...

a place I've been hanging out since the past months...

quality of the picture wasn't too good, but it'll do...

have been hanging out at this place since July... became such a regular that even the performers invited us to their Hari Raya Open House in October this year...

a decent place to have some beer, and maybe a few games of pool...

plans to upgrade my ICE

currently my ICE head unit is a Pioneer DEH-P4550. it has served me well for the past 3 years, and now the modifying bug within me starts inching away again...

it's getting old, and sometimes CDs get stucked when ejecting...

I thought of getting myself a double din player, as my center console can actually fit one...

but this babeh doesn't support iPod plug-in...

then I thought of getting this single din player, which apart from DVDs, reads everything, including iPod...

sweet stuff huh...

and I think... since I'm gonna spend money on the head unit, might as well go all out right?? so this Pioneer head unit came into the picture...

it's a DVD receiver, supports everything and anything... then all I need to do is buy some ciplak TFT in-dash monitor to complete the whole package to last me another 2 - 3 years...

still considering... headache...

how many credit cards do you have in your wallet?

it is so boring in the office today that I dig out the credit cards from my wallet and take pictures of them...

my first pair of credit cards... from HSBC :)

gotten this 2 Standard Chartered cards because the sales-girl was hot!!

needed this because I fly Air Asia a lot these days...

apart from these 5 cards in my wallet, I still have another pair of Southern Bank credit cards (got it because it's free for life), 3 from Maybank (Visa, Master and Amex) and 1 Visa from Citibank (got it because I was in a good mood when the sales guy approached me), all stored in my drawer...

gonna have to cancel some, else when they start charging me annual fees, it's gonna cost me a bomb!!

hamsap cat encounter...

was out having drinks with some friends last night when we saw this -

oh yea baby!!!

it was obvious that the female didn't wanna do it, but the horny male was biting her neck... and when the female finally broke free, he was like stalking her all around the place, despite being chased away a few time by us...

damn horny that cat...

congratulations to my buddy

seems like this is a good year for couples to tie the knot...

knew of their plan way earlier... so receiving the wedding invitation card today is just formality...

anyway, congratulations dude!!

having a hell lotsa thoughts when I'm listening to this song...

李圣杰 - 最近
(Li Shen Jie - Zui Jin)
http://www.520music.com/MusicList/520music.com_6491.htm

have been listening to this song alot lately... when I'm working, in the car, and it's even in my Atom... liked it very much, especially the lyrics, as well as how the music flows...

despite all those, it also somewhat got me into doing alot of thinking for the past few weeks... especially as of late... about things that happened... why it happened... how would I handle it... should I just ignore it... or act blur...

swimming actually helps release some stress, and relax myself... I actually brought along my swimming gears and stuff with me to work today, but I'm abit reluctant to go this evening... something is bugging me...

lunch...

didn't feel like using any dollar notes today, so dug out some coins from my coin box this morning for my lunch money...

halfway through lunch, it rained heavily... and apparently the rain dragged until after lunch break, so we had no choice but to call our boss to let him know that we're strained at some kopitiam, and would be back late.

we ended up reaching the office 20+ minutes late. :)

the water in the swimming pool is gonna be so much refreshing and cool later... yea!!

my flight back to Kuching and ciggie review

I got to know this old man while I was at the departure hall waiting for my flight back to Kuching at LCCT last week. very friendly old man, so we chatted throughout our wait, and sat together during the flight.

while we were walking towards the immigration counter upon arrival, he walked into the duty free shop, got a bottle of Hennessy Cognac and put it on the counter. I was like WTF?? I thought domestic travelers are not allowed to buy duty free stuff??

I walked over and asked him. He told me: "aiya... can one... I do this all the time." so I told him I wanted to buy a carton of ciggie... and he just told me to go ahead take one. quickly I went over and grab a carton of Feng, put it on the counter.

now here's the trick. Feng is retailed at Rm53, so he told me to pay RM56 instead. yeap, that's it... just by paying Rm3 more, you could walk out of Kuching International Airport with one or two cartons of duty free ciggies despite you're flying domestic. Add another Rm5 to the retail price and you take out a bottle of Hennesy Cognac or any other liquor... hohohoh...

guess what I did, I told the counter girl to remember me so that I could do the same next time. She smiled back. :)

Feng... definitely good stuff...

Feng is a Japanese brand. very good stuff I tell you... that's why even at duty free, it's selling at RM53/carton compared to Dunhill/Marlboro which are only priced at RM40+/carton.

the packaging speaks for itself... very nicely done, and gives out this exclusive feel. the ciggie burns extremely well, the taste is pretty smooth, and stronger than our typical Dunhill Lights. too bad I'm left with my last pack... and I don't feel like opening it...

I'm going to KL soon... hehehehe...

Cigarette review - Time

this is a long overdue post, but what the hell...

a close friend of mine went holiday to Korea early this year, so I asked her for a favour to buy me Korean cigarettes. she said okay... me happy...

what I had in mind was at least a carton of one local Korean ciggie, or a few packs of different Korean ciggie brands...

turned out she was pondering to buy a carton or just a pack while she was in Korea, and in the end, she only bought me ONE pack... sien... (she's a non-smoker... so can't blame her... it was my mistake in the first place for not telling her exactly what I wanted...)

*I still keep the box, and the picture is taken today*

the brand is Time, with some unknown Korean words on it. The price was around RM12 (after conversion), and the pack feels more solid compared with out local ones.

finished it some time ago, but could still remember how it tasted. It was smooth, but very mild... even milder than our typical Dunhill Lights. can't complain too much though... coz it was a gift from her all the way from Korea... :)

suckers for bargains...

the 2 lady colleagues of mine, upon knowing the price of my ZeroX, bought themselves a pair each... heh...

good network marketing ehh...

Mitsubishi Airtrek Turbo test drive

a couple of weeks ago, this car salesman friend of mine told me about this Mitsubishi Airtrek Turbo going for sale, and the car is damn sweet and in freaking good condition, so I told him to arrange a meet-up with the owner, as well as a test drive...

saw the car, fell in love with it, test drove (actually I floored it)... damn it's good and it's fast!!! (it's like driving an EVO, just that it's a SUV, and 20bhp less) The interior is as good as brand new, and there is almost no visible/major scratches on the bodyworks. The owner is actually going back to Aussie, so he is selling off most of his stuff here... and the price that he offered was actually very very reasonable...

too bad I just invested over 10k into my own business, thus I don't have any cash for down payment and stuff... and plus I just got screwed by my friend on return cheques issue.... so applying loan is out of the question... otherwise, I'd have bought that baby... :(

details of the Mitsubishi Airtrek Turbo:

year - 2004 (Brand new)
engine - 4G63, tuned by RalliArt
turbo - upgraded from TD04 - TD05
horsepower - 260bhp (typical Airtrek Turbo has only 240bhp... so yea this baby is fast!!)
wheels - 17 inch chrome rims, yokohama rubbers... still new!!

the car is currently in Kuching, so whoever interested, please feel free to drop me a message, and I could help arrange a meet-up with the owner (provided the car is still available).

Real Madrid Specs

I didn't know that there's even Real Madrid spectacles until I went shopping for sunglasses last Sunday at my regular optical shop...

bought this pair of ZeroX sunglasses at a freakin' cheap deal... and then went on looking at Real Madrid spectacles... being a sucker that I am, I ended up choosing one. After going through the eye test thingy, my friend (the shop owner) told me that my power went down from -4 to -3.5 on my left eye, and from -5 to -4.5 on my right... so it's somewhat good news...

total damage to my wallet: over three hundred bucks... :(

my new Real Madrid specs

*will take a photo of my ZeroX shades tomorrow...*

Penang Oh-Chien

went to Penang last weekend, and had Penang Oh-Chien (Fried Oyster)... good stuff I tell you... for 2 days in a row, my friends and I had 3 servings... that's how much we love Penang Oh-Chien...

sorry folks, forgotten to take pictures of the end-product... too busy munching those Oh-Chien once it's served...

bad luck again...

don't feel like going into details on this, but it's somewhat like a annual affair... mesti kena at least once a year... sighh....

last year, it was the front (http://dreckker77.blogspot.com/2005/09/sighh-not-again.html)

this year, it's the butt!!!

there goes my year end bonus again....
