pre-wedding food tasting... glorious food...

my sister's wedding was held early this month in Kuching, so before that, we had a food tasting dinner to sample the dishes to be served on the actual date at Lok Thian Restaurant...

the appetizer - got drunken chicken, octopus, fried eggs /w crab meat and jelly fish...

Salad Prawn

Shark Fin Soup...

Suckling Piglet, so crispy the skin... and meat very the juicy & tender... ^__^

Rosemary Sauce Chicken, this is teh good... should have ordered extra rice to go with the meat & sauce...

very creative dish... Stewed Duck /w BBQ Pork inside...
that night eat meat until can die... bet everyone got back with very high protein overdose...

my sister... saling mengambil gambar (u snap me, I snap u)...

compulsory family photos taken before we all grease-up our mouths...
brader-in-law's elder brother and mum...
flew all the way from JB (Johore Bahru) btw, so this wedding blog thingy will be kindda long, divided into many posts - from this pre-wedding dinner in Kuching, the actual Kuching wedding, then off to JB pre-wedding preparation, then lastly the JB wedding...

assorted food snaps IV...

went to this kopitiam - 芳圆茶室 for lunch on Saturday... the place is famous for its Char Siew (叉烧), and Steamed Chicken (白斬雞)...

the place was, as usual packed to the brim... and we had to wait for 30+ minutes (!!!) before the food was served...

but it's worth the wait... I think this shot did no justice to the amount of orgasmic feeling these fatty pork meat gave our taste buds... ^___^

the 白斬雞 was good as well... right amount of tenderness...

assorted food snaps III

look at the size of them prawns... how can you not drool over such a presentation of Sarawakian's no.1 choice of breakfast??

I dare say that the laksa aunty of Mei Mei Kopitiam (opposite the snooker centre) at Chong Lin serves the best laksa in town... the ones at Golden Arch, Chong Choon and Choon Hui don't even come close... all overpriced & not nice one...

assorted food snaps II

the Cantonese Cafe (广东茶室) located along Jalan Ang Cheng Ho serves the best friend rice in Kuching... even at RM6 per plate, it is worth every cent... the only problem is that they take their sweet time to cook... sometimes up to 20 minutes still haven't arrive... -___-'...
but I guess good stuff are worth the wait eh??

the rice with curry mutton by Planet Amore Diner, located at the 3rd mile Golden Arch building... the carbohydrate was just typical, but the meat was well cooked, tender and not too soft, plus plenty of lamb lard/tendon... *yummsss*

The Junk's signature Lamb Shank... what more can I say??

and last but not least...
