the usual drinking routine......

It's usually on a Friday or Saturday night, and we started out slow with beer.

Heineken draft anyone??

Later into the night, something like Glenfiddich, Glenmorangie or Jim Bean will pop up onto the table at times.

Sometimes when there are birthday guys or girls around, cocktails like graveyard showed up in the scene.

Together with stuff with more kick...

and we'd always end up at one of those makan places that open early into the morning...

Some porridge, 猪肚汤 (pig stomach soup), 咸鱼猪肉 (fried pork with salted fish) and 猪肚炒辣椒 (fried pig intentine with dried chillies) after a night of drinking is not only satisfying, but help resume soberness. However, I always forget to take a snap of the food when they arrive...

Gawai Holiday Food & Drink Spree...

it was a long Gawai holiday (over the weekend till Tuesday) for us Sarawakians and Sabahans... and apart from going visiting (which I failed miserably on locating Niny's place despite being there before)... sleeping late, go swimming, eating out and having drinks at nights were pretty much the routine for the 4 days...

Suzuki Sashimi...

the Salmon Don I ordered... very generous amount of Salmon slices given...

ordered Nama Kani Karaage (soft shell crab), Yasai Salad as well as Komochi Shishamo (Grilled Smelt Fish), which I totally forgot to take a few snapshots of due to me busily digging into my Salmon Don... -_____-"

went to this place called MyHouse Steamboat & BBQ Seaffood along the road towards Pending on the weekend... the open garden concept was really soothing and relaxing... plus with the constant breeze... you won't even feel the heat from the steamboat...

waiting for the stuff to be cooked... and again I forgot to take a snapshot of the fried chicken wings served, which were seriously to-die-for...

opened up a Glenmorangie at Ipanema on Gawai night... and surprisingly, business was quite slow for the night, cos probably everyone got themselves hangovers on the Gawai Eve booze parties and having too much tuak during the day...

Hangover after Friday Night's out...

First, it was a late dinner for Jo at
Piccadilly's. Had a beer each before we headed over to Ipanema...

Opened up this Aussie wine - Brown Brothers *something* for RM104. Her pick, and it tasted pretty alright...

then came this ciggie girl selling this promotional Dunhill MY Mixture box set, whom Jo conveniently directed to me as she knew I would probably buy it... and yea I'm a sucker when it comes to girls promoting ciggies to me...

After we were done at Ipanema, it was only about 1230am, and not wanting to go home yet, we went to Junk Bar as she claimed that she still had an unfinished bottle of Glenmorangie Single Malt, and wanted to habiskan-nya before heading home.

There was only about 4 - 5 shots left of the bottle, and we mixed it with ice soda. was a bit tipsy already when we reached there, and by the time we were done, it was past 2am (I think) and I was seriously on the high side... was lucky that I still managed to drive home safety...

had a bad hangover headache during my sleep that night and luckily I wasn't feeling that much the effect the next day compared to her, who dragged me to go swimming just so that she could swim off the headache... ''-_____-

Note: despite knowing that one shouldn't take in beer, wine and liquor all in one night, sometimes you just ignore that fact, and ended up with a headache as big as the Airbus A380 the next morning...
