complimentary coffee from Starbucks...

I received this complimentary Starbucks birthday treat coupon from HSBC last week. I am entitled to one free 12oz freshly brewed coffee.    :)

Daniel and I went over to Mitsu Shabu Shabu again last Saturday. but this time, we didn't go for the shabu shabu. Instead, we ordered soup based stuff, where Dan ordered fish ball soup while mine was beef ball mee-hoon soup. Jo joined us later, and as usual, went for the heavier shabu shabu meal.

Dinner at Rakutei on my birthday.

One of my must order - softshell crabs.

I bought a new pair of Camel Active shoes during the Merdeka sale promotion at LEA Centre as the old pair is starting to fall apart.

And on top of that, I've just spent more than 1K on these two gadgets, and there will be another two more add-ons to come.

(I will blog about it when the whole package is up and running)

I'm so dead broke now.

Sashimi Hana...

tried out this 3-piece Sashimi Hana set at Rakutei last night, and I'd say it's pretty worthy as each piece came wrapped with two huge slices of salmon sashimis...

the combination of sushi with salmon, tobiko and mayonnaise tasted brilliant...

V-Card from Rakutei (楽亭)

we had a light dinner at Rakutei (楽亭), Crown Square the other night...

apart from ordering sushis, sashimis, makis and japanese salad, I added this generous piece of unagi to the lot...

raked up a bill of about RM90, and were given a V-Card each. the card allows the holder to enjoy 10% off the bill for future dinings, and according to the staff, there're gonna be Japanese Buffets offered soon, which the card holders will enjoy certain discounts when dining there...
hehehehe... we're so looking forward to it now...

it's the freshness of the food that counts...

went over to Rakutei Japanese Restaurant for an unplanned dinner. turned out to be a pretty expensive one... ''-___-
but seriously it's worth it though as the food served was as fresh as it could get...

Rakutei is located at Crown Square Kuching

We ordered quite a lot of stuff, and actually over-ordered as in the end I was the poor thing doing the clean ups while she sat there sipping her beer... ''-____-

let's see... ordered Salmon & Tuna, California rolls, softshell crab, garlic rice, and the one shown in the picture below: I didn't manage to take photos of the other food stuff as I was already busy feeding myself...

those raw prawns were super fresh!!

the bill came up to be slightly over RM160, but like I said, it's the freshness that counts... and the quality of the food served justifies the amount paid.
