assorted food snaps IV...

went to this kopitiam - 芳圆茶室 for lunch on Saturday... the place is famous for its Char Siew (叉烧), and Steamed Chicken (白斬雞)...

the place was, as usual packed to the brim... and we had to wait for 30+ minutes (!!!) before the food was served...

but it's worth the wait... I think this shot did no justice to the amount of orgasmic feeling these fatty pork meat gave our taste buds... ^___^

the 白斬雞 was good as well... right amount of tenderness...

The Eatery @ Four Points Sheraton

As-X was back here in Kuching over the last weekend, but despite telling Daniel about it earlier on... the bugger forgot and booked a trip to Miri with his wife for some Jazz Festival... wtf... and will only be back on Sunday night... so As-X and I decided not to wait until then, and went for the BBQ Seafood Buffet on Saturday...

the variety of food on display for the daily buffet is easily the biggest amongst all the top hotel buffets in Kuching, but the quality is still somewhat to be improved. There is an entry by As-X on the details (negative points) of the buffet... so I'm not gonna blog too much on it here... just some pictures and some nice stuff rather...

we were seated beside the swimming pool... and surprisingly, even though it was full house that night, we were the only two person having our dinner outside...

satay, seafood omelette, roasted chicken, steam chicken, roasted duck... all very nice...

went for almost the same serving for the second round, but took some prawn tempuras...

the chicken rice with steamed chicken, roasted chicken and duck is teh good... I had two servings...

two idiots doing the same camwhore post... wtf...
-_____-'

the bill came to RM140.75 for two... not too bad lah...

my opinion: if they up the quality of the fresh oysters, salmon/tuna sashimis and hire enough waiters/waitresses to attend to diners' needs, then I'm sure The Eatery buffet would be pretty hard to beat for the mass array of cuisines served and price paid per person...

just to show that i'm still alive...

that bugger As-X has been bugging me for the longest time to update my blog as the last update was on March 24, and it wasn't even blog material, just some paid post that I did... so okla... just to layan (应酬) him, here goes...

Kuching Chicken Rice (猫城鸡饭) @ Song Kheng Hai (宋庆海) hawker centre, probably one of the best chicken rice you can get for RM3.50. This one was RM5 instead as I tambah the sam-cham-bak (层肉) and tu-teng (猪肠) in my order... and it was seriously good man...

typical roasted chicken... it was during mum's birthday, and when my sister was back in Kuching for the Chinese New Year... apparently I only remembered to take a snap of the roasted chicken... the rest of the dishes all forgot to take pictures... -_____-'

lou-sang (捞生) @ Lok Thian Restaurant before CNY...
*yea I know... way overdued picture... so many months ago liaw...*

Daniel Anna went to Taiwan for their honeymoon, and got me a box of 凤梨酥... many many thanks...

lunch takeaway

It was the first time I went down to the Food Gallery on level 3 and ordered the Uramaki set. Not too bad if you just wanna have something light and different from the lunch routine of mix rice, chicken rice or fried noodle.
