assorted food snaps VI

the Char Siew (叉烧) from Fang Yuan (芳圆茶室) is the ultimate fatty pork goodness...

was at this new restaurant in town - Delizze... ordered this, but forgotten the name of it...
one was filled with shrimp while the other was cheese... just nice for a light meal...

mix platter of chicken, char siew & BBQ pork...

the overhyped McDonald's GCB, tasted pretty good, but I'm never gonna pay close to RM10 for such a puny burger... totally not worth it... a RM5 roadside Ramli burger special is a way better deal... =)

now these are good stuff, especially the one on the left ---> bacon-flavoured crackers... *yums*... =p

note: bacon-flavoured means non-Halal ok... hehehe...

pre-wedding in JB...

about a week after the wedding dinner in Kuching, my parents and I went over to JB becos my brader-in-law is a JB-ian...

checked into Dorsett Hotel...

went for dinner at Pekin Restaurant after settling everything in the hotel...

the main course - Pen Cai/Poon Choi, or for those who reads Chinese - 盆菜
that's the first time I tried this dish, and it did not disappoint one bit... in fact, it's seriously teh gooood....

some form of exercise - walking was necessary after the heavy dinner at Pekin Restaurant, so off we went to the biggest mall in JB - Tebrau City...

typical English breakfast at Dorsett - nothing much to brag about... ''-____-

went to have a peek at my sister & brader-in-law's new house in JB...

lunch at this dunno-where-kopitiam eatery place which apparently is famous for it's steam chicken (白斬雞)... something like the Fang Yuan Kopitiam (芳圆茶室) in Kuching lah...

took this family portrait shot before going into the this famous seafood makan place that overlooks our small island neighbour - Singakapoh...

I dunno what is this worm-lookalike thingy called in england *can anyone enlighten me pls??*
we chinese call them "Tek-Tang" in Hokkien though...

fried sotong...

damn big & fresh prawns cooked in some herbs & wine... pretty good lor this one...

and the signature dish - Chilli Crab... *thumbs up*
ok... according to Wiki (a place of information that cannot be 100% trusted), chilli crab is originated from Singakapoh... can someone verify this??
coz I heard that it might not be true...

the aftermath... so full until tummy omos burst can die ok... =.=''''

next up: the JB wedding...
