It has been a while since I'm at the passenger's seat...

it has always been me at the wheels, but it happened that last night my car is to be used as a de-stress tool, so I took the passenger seat instead.

ready???

GO!!!

ended up at the open air market...

and had porridge... definitely something to warm up my stomach after a 30-minute terror ride... in my own car... -__-

dinner at Mr Ho's Fine Food...

Sunday was Dad's birthday, so I treated Mum & Dad dinner at Mr Ho's Fine Food, a new dining establishment (franchise) at the just-renovated Crown Square. The place is exquisitely done up, and the ambiance is perfect. According to the F&B Manager who served us, the place only caters for a max seating of 50 per session. Pre-booking is essential, as walk-in diners are almost guaranteed disappointments.

Mr Ho's Fine Food... definitely an ideal place for good food...

all the tables that night were reserved...

I initially wanted to order the Family Sampler (RM109.90), but the manager insisted that the serving portion would be too big for the three of us, and he recommended the half Family Sampler for RM68. Then the dish came... true enough... it was huge!! Dad said we're lucky that we only ordered the half portion... else, we'd have a hard time clearing it, and might have to tapao some home...

Steaks, Sausages and Crispy Pork (Siew Yok) on one side...

Pork Knuckle and Pork Rib on the other side...

I wasn't really full after we finished the first dish, and so was dad. I then ordered the Sausage Feast (RM30.90). The manager recommended 4 other types of sausages apart from the ones that we had in the first serving.

the Sausage Feast came with wasabi gravy. those oily sausages, together with the wasabi gravy were a perfect match. the taste was simply OiShiii....

the bill came up to be over a hundred bucks, but I think it was money well spent... especially on a hearty and satisfying meal...

new specs...

recently I noticed that my 5 months old Real Madrid specs having this little hairline crack at the frame, so rather than using it until it breaks, I went over to my usual optical shop to get a new one done with Jo... coz she broke (actually sat on) her specs while playing with her dog...

I decided on a pair of ZeroX frame at first, but Jo kept on saying that since I've already got a pair of ZeroX shades, I should get myseft something else...

Looked around sommore, and in the ended found something that I equally liked... the name is somewhat weird and gay - Valentino Rudy, but it's pretty good lor... and she bought a pair from the same brand too...

the price for my specs, after special discount, came to RM300... why so expensive?? well the frame is made of Titatium... wuahahaha...

crazy weekend + public holiday

the past week starting last Friday until Wednesday (Wesak holiday replacement) was totally great and somewhat crazy...

2 childhood buddies came back for the holiday, and the whole gang went out for gatherings, drinking/partying sessions as well as gambling sessions practically from the time they got here until they flew back...

plus, it was Hedo's birthday on Tuesday, so I had back-to-back Jap buffet, one on Saturday with them friends, and Tuesday with Hedo & gang... I swear I had sooo much sashimi that I won't touch one for the coming few months...

some pictures that I managed to take...

salmon, white tuna, fish eggs...

octopus, shrimp, grilled lamb, cod, smoked salmon...

this was what I got for the first round...

the beef balls sold at the roadside Lok Lok along Ban Hock Road... looked ordinary but I kid you not peeps... they taste heavenly...

back to back visits to Soho... something that I have not been doing for more than a year...

hehehe... you think I dunno how to drink meh??

lemme show you losers how it's done... one hand beer, one hand ciggie... wuahahaha...

have you seen so much shoes in your life??

LEA Centre is having their grand stock clearance sales until Wesak Day. Everything in the house is sold at 1/2 price... Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Slazenger, Lotto, Dunlop... you name it, and they'll sell it to you at half the price... it's crazy...

I went over to their outlets with a few friends on the weekend to have a look. Lots and lots of people. Mountains and mountains of shoes... and I'm not exaggerating... I've got prove...

unbelievable and ridiculous amount of shoes... from as low as RM24.95 to RM399 (those hot & sexy Nike and Adidas footwear)...

I ended up buying 1 Adidas World Cup Germany Polo shirt, 1 Adidas t-shirt, 1 Nike t-shirt, and 1 Dunlop shorts. The total amount came up to about RM140, freaking cheap...

and I saved the best for last. saw this Nike leisure/jogging shoe on the rack... size 12, last pair, loved it ... tried them on the spot... and went straight to the payment counter... another RM199 gone...

Hedo and the gay fart machine said that I shop like a woman... but I don't care...

long weekend break...

I took 2 days leaves for last Thursday and Friday, and plus the Saturday and Sunday of non-working days, I was pretty much bored out doing virtually nothing useful apart from watching DVDs, Astro, went driving around town yumcha and washed my car... and I forgot that even though I wasn't working, everyone else still went to work... thus causing those long jams when I was running some errands around town...

cars cars cars everywhere... -_-

look at the piled up cars... Kuching traffic jams are fast catching up to those of KL jams...

one of the reasons of getting those leaves is to go over to RHB bank and get my ATM card done. decided to start saving a couple of hundreds of my income per month into this account rather than spending them all on stuff that I don't really need at times... as well as keep on splashing those cash onto my car...

it's a start...

new shoes...

I got back into playing badminton recently. However, last week's session didn't go too well as the sole of my shoes were too thin, causing my feet to become painful afterwards. Decided to get myself a new pair of shoes, so went over to the usual shop and made the purchase during lunch time.

brand - Fleet

The taukeh recommended this pair, as it has thicker sole, and it absorbs impact better, thus being more gentle to the ankle and knee. I'm a sucker to these kindda stuff... so ended up RM90 poorer... :(

new 22' LCD...

the 2007 PIKOM Fair was held during the weekend. I waited until the last day, and went over late evening, hoping to get a better bargain during the closing hours on the final day.

the place was jam packed with people... and it was pretty hard to move around. asked around for the price of a M2 memory stick. I ended up getting a Sandisk 1GB M2 for my SE K800i for RM135, the cheapest I could find as some were selling at RM150.

then it was time to go LCD hunting. asked around for the price of 22" LCDs, and there were only 2 booths selling 22" LCDs, both BenQs (yea what to do... Kuching wad...). one quoted me RM1080, and the other one quoted me RM1050 at the dying hours of the fair. I checked the price a week before the PIKOM fair, and the average price for a 22" was +/-RM1170, so it's already somewhat cheaper...

it was obvious that they were closing, and wanted to clear as much stock as possible, thus giving me that price. RM1050 was pretty much within my budget, so I said okay, paid the guy... and was a happy man walking out of the fair... :)

my new BenQ 22" LCD

BenQ Senseye FP222W...

the total package... it's a gorgeous sight... heh...

the 22" LCD monitor has an even bigger display area than my 21" Sony Wega...

very bad traffic jam... -_-

got bored in the jam... so took photo of the dashboard...
